FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
*updated as of December 12, 2007*

Why is your organization exclusive to just the Penn State and State College community?
At this time, PRS wishes for its members to interact with the society in a physical form. Members are required to attend meetings on a monthly basis. There are also university laws which stipulate that a certain percentage of members must be student-related.

How Do I Join? You can learn more about general meetings and general members by visiting the general page.

I am a scientist/counselor/specialist and I would like to get involved.
That's great! Feel free to email us at society@pennstateprs.com. We are looking for more scientists and specialists.

How do I become a PRS investigator?
Good question. It's very complicated and somewhat difficult. Visit this FIR page for more info.

Does PRS offer any academic classes or degrees?
No. PRS is a student club. At this time we do not offer any classes nor do we offer any degrees or certification.

Is PRS non-profit? Yes. It has non-profit status as being part of the Penn State University. However, there is also an LLC side that handles certain business items such as merchandise, books, etc.

Is PRS a religious group?
Absolutely not, but we open our doors to all forms of religion and spiritual beliefs. The spiritual elements you see on the TV series, "Paranormal State" reflect the viewpoints of the client and sometimes the investigators on the show. PRS is not considered a religious group.

How do I get in touch with the cast of "Paranormal State?"
You may learn more about how to contact PS investigators by visiting the Paranormal State page under the FIR section.

I want to get involved with UNIV-CON as a potential speaker, volunteer, contributor, etc.
